Virginia L Boerger

Virginia L. Boerger passed away on May 18, 2013, at the home of her daughter Charlotte, with her loving family by her side.  Virginia was born in Mantorville, Minnesota on 9/24/1920.  A farm girl, educated to become an x-ray technician.

She was employed at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island. 
    Beloved  friend and wife of the late, Arthur James Boerger. They celebrated 55 years of marriage. Virginia and Arthur enjoyed traveling, fishing trips to MN to catch walleye and family gatherings. 
    Virginia was the devoted mother of, Janet Mary (deceased), Charlotte Ann, William Lee and Susan Marie.  She was the cherished grandmother of twelve, proud great-grandmother of twenty-two and the glorified great-great grandmother of twenty-three.  
   Virginia was pre-ceded in death by her parents Roy and Mary Gossard and siblings Carlyle, Harold, Pauline and Bob.  
   “Virgie” enjoyed life with her family, gardening, quilting, pinochle, cribbage, bird watching and her church family. 
   A Memorial Service will be held at St. Hugh of Lincoln, 36 West 957 Highland Avenue,  Elgin, IL on June 1st at 10:30 a. m.   Celebration  luncheon following service.
