Claude R. Bledsoe, age 88, of Kissimmee, FL and formerly of Elgin, IL, passed away July 6,2013.  Claude was born in Loogootee, IN on September 27, 1924 to Otis and Effie Fletcher Bledsoe.

Claude was a WWII US Army veteran spending 3 years as an MP on the west coast. He was a member of Elgin Teamsters Local #330 and worked for Ludwig Dairy, L & J Reimer and retired from Illinois Hydraulic. 

Claude enjoyed gardening ,spending quality time with his family, and especially traveling in his motor home, which he had several with his wife Lillian.  They visited all the US National Parks and family. Visits notably drove across Alaska 3 times in caravan and also caravan in Mexico climbing many of the pyramids of the Yucatan Peninsula.  They traveled to all 31 states in Mexico. He also took several cruises traveling Mexico and the Mediterranean. 

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife Ermalee of 43 years, and his daughter Claudia Bledsoe Hines and also 7 brothers and 1 sister.  

He is survived by this wife Lillian of 22 years, daughter Cynthia Bledsoe Bornstedt of Huntley, Il, son James Bledsoe and Barbara "Polly" Dale of Union, IL, two grand daughter's Brandi (Jon) Roche of Elgin, Megan (Greg) Tosch of Batavia and 2 great grand children Taylor and Landon and son-in-law Donald "Toby" Hines of Aurora, IL., and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. or 847-741-8800.
