William G. Butchart

William “Bill” G. Butchart, 82, of Elgin, formerly of Elk Grove Village and Leesburg, FL, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at home. He was born on June 9, 1932 in Chicago the son of Percy & Gladys (Modersohn) Butchart.

Bill was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army. He was a member the Elgin American Legion Post # 57 and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Elgin. Bill was retired from Chicago Faucet Company and was a 28 year member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a longtime member of the Elk Grove Village Lions Club for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Norma (Bartholowmew) Butchart. Sons William H. (Carol), Paul G. (Kathy), Douglas (Shadene), daughter Sandra Elaine (Paul) Longerman. 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brothers Marshall and Russell (Lillian), many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church, 535 N. McLean Blvd, Elgin. Burial was private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
