Adrian C. Bronowski

 ADRIAN C. BRONOWSKI, age 87, of Algonquin passed away on January 17, 2018. Adrian was born on December 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL. to the late Walter and Catharine Bronowski. On January 26, 1952 he married Beverly (nee Fiedler) Bronowski in Chicago, IL. As a graduate of Austin High School in January 1948, he excelled in music. He was President of the concert band, he played first chair and was an extremely talented trumpet player. Played with a couple of local dance bands where he could show off his expertise. Adrian admired the style of Harry James and Raphael Mendez . Adrian had many adventures traveling by bus with his band "The Sophisticates" who played for college dances and proms in their midnight blue tuxedos.
He worked at the family quilt and mattress business for a number of years. He was employed in retail management at Wieboldts, E. J. Korvettes, Waccamaw Pottery and retired from Lee Wards in Elgin.
In 1964, Adrian moved his family to Algonquin where he built his first home. Adrian loved his home, his vegetable garden, salmon fishing in the U.P., tying flies and listening to big band music.
He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed the many pets the family had over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly; daughters, Kim (Bob) Kohlmeyer of Marengo, IL, Kathy (Ron) Trebbi of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Sean) Roark and Allison Trebbi; and beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janet Spencer and brother Adolph Bronowski.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
