Emma (nee Wagner) Stiltz, 88, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away due to respiratory failure complications from pneumonia and after being challenged by dementia, on January, 24, 2017 at 4:10 p.m. She was born on January 11, 1929 in Horní Planá (German Oberplan) in South Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Maria Wagner of Bavaria Germany; husband Richard of 41 years; her brother Franz Wagner of Landshut, Germany.
Emma was survived by sons, Nick (Jean Schams) Borodaj of Elgin, IL, Steve (Liliana Bruno) Borodaj of Elgin, IL; four grandchildren, Rachel (Todd Stahl) Borodaj-Stahl of Plainfield, IL, Nicole Borodaj Molinari of Plainfield, IL, Steven Borodaj of DeKalb, IL, and Michelle Frohn of Shabbona, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Tyler Lazzaro, Nathan Lane Stahl, Olivia Louise Stahl, Zoey Ann Molinari, Brooklyn Frances Molinari, Gage Joseph Richard Molinari and Gracie Emma Frohn; younger brother, Fred (Monica) of San Paulo, Brazil; and sister-in-law, Mariella Wagner.
Emma will be missed by all of her family that fondly remembers her simply as “Oma” and a multitude of cherished friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 11:00 AM until the time of a prayer services at 1:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State Street, Elgin, IL 60123.
