James Donahue O’Toole, Jr, 73, of Algonquin, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Heritage Manor, Elgin. James was born on December 19, 1943 in Richmond, IN the son of James D. & Marcellene M. (Stevens) O’Toole, Sr. He was a 1962 graduate of Short High School in Liberty, IN, 1966 graduate of Miami University (BS), Oxford H, Butler University in Indianapolis, IN (MBA) in 1973. Before retiring James had been employed in sales in the rubber manufacturing industry. He belonged to the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Knights of Columbus in Cary, IL and he was U.S. Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Ann nee Bank, they were wed on June 17, 1967 in Indianapolis. A son James R. (Amy) O’Toole, a daughter Colleen M. (Charles) Root, a brother Steven T. (Susan) O’Toole, a sister-in-law Janet L. (Theodore) Williams, 7 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley. Visitation will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass. Private burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Liberty, IN.
