Clifford “Cliff” C. Miller, 72, of Pingree Grove, formerly of Plato Center, succumbed to pancreatic cancer after a courageous battle, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at home where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 14, 1945 in Elgin the son of Robert D. & Eleanor J. (Burnidge) Miller. Cliff worked for 43 years in Elgin as a barber, he was at the Razor’s Edge for 25 years before opening Cliff’s Barber Shop in October 1992, retiring in 2008. Cliff was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. His greatest passions were watching his children and grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Cliff enjoyed watching the Cubs and the Fighting Illini. He was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Plato. His infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, loving wife, Nancy M. (Rozak) Miller to whom he was married to on August 22, 1965. Their children: Scott (Michelle) Miller, Rebecca Miller and Sara (Scott) Mills. Grandchildren: Jami Miller, Ashley (Ryan Muir) Miller, Luke and Zachary Miller; Austin, Alexis and Jake Jarvis; Christina (Matthew) Sjulstad, Colby (Reiley) Straub; Cameron (Sarah) Mills, Alexander and Valerie Mills. Great Grandchildren: Laci and Ty Wernicke; Brooklynn Muir, and Mason Sjulstad. Siblings: Linda (James) Butt, Robert D. Miller Jr., Dennis (Judith) Miller, Kimberly (David) Olson. Many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert D. Miller Sr., sister-in-law Charlene Miller. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43W301 Plank Rd., Hampshire. Burial will follow in North Plato Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
