Dennis "Dennie" L Taylor

Dennis Taylor, 74, of Elgin, passed away suddenly on November 29 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Joliet to Ruth Widup Taylor and (John) Edward Taylor, he grew up in Plainfield, Joliet, Aurora and Batavia. He graduated from Batavia High School in 1961 and attended the University of Arizona for two years.

He began working at Western Electric (later AT&T) in West Chicago in 1965 making many lifelong friends and retiring after 30 years. He subsequently worked for the Post Office in West Dundee until 2011.

Dennie was as a performer, choreographer and costumer for Playmakers in St. Charles and Wheaton Drama. He became a master at designing wigs and shared his talents with many theatre groups in the western suburbs.

He is survived by his husband Richard Pahl of Elgin, brother Ron Taylor of Morrison, Colorado, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 21, 2018, between 1:00 and 5:00 at Vero Voce Theatre, 951 State Avenue Suite F, St. Charles.
