 Randall “Skeeter” Kucharski passed away on Thursday May 23rd at Presence St. Joseph’s hospital. He is survived by his wife Jaclyn, daughters Kelly and Kate, grandchildren Jada, Giovanni, Ava and Gavin, and sister Pam (Ron). Randall is also survived by many great extended family members and friends. Randall was preceded in death by his mother Corrine in 2010, and his father Robert in 2014. Randall was born in Chicago on February 01, 1949 to Robert and Corrine (Cegielski) Kucharski. Randall was a member of the 1967 Larkin Highschool graduating class. Randall married his high school sweetheart Jaclyn (Smith) Kucharski on April 20, 1968 and they shared fifty years of marriage. Randall worked alongside his father as a roofer for many years until eventually starting his business “Skeeter Trucking.” Randall served in the Army 4th infantry division during the Vietnam War from 1970-1972. Randall was a member of the VFW Elgin Post 1307. Randall was a great father and grandfather. He loved spending most of his time with his four grandchildren going to waterparks, playing catch, going to the zoo, and helping with homework. Randall enjoyed cruise vacations, watching NASCAR and football, and being around his family and friends. Randall was blessed with many great friends that were extensions of our family. Randall’s memorial will be held at Laird Funeral Home 310 S. State Street in Elgin on Saturday June 2nd from 4pm -8pm with a brief service at 6pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Randall’s honor to JOURNEYS|The Road Home 1140 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60074. The donations will be used exclusively to help veterans that are in need of homeless services or prevention services.
