 Randle Eugene Johnson, 89, of Elgin passed away on January 23, 2019 in his home. He was born on April 5, 1929 in Jacksonville, IL the son of George and Dorothy (Randle) Johnson. Randle grew up in Peoria, IL and graduated from Bradley University and the University of Illinois Law School. He was a Veteran and served in the US Army. Relocating to Elgin, he had worked for Kirkland, Brady and McQueen Law firm and then at the First National Bank of Elgin as Vice President and Trust Officer, and retired from Brittain and Ketcham Law Firm. He traveled all around the world and swam in every Ocean, loved fishing and golf.

He was a member of the American Legion Post # 57, the Elgin Elk’s Lodge, a Fellow in the American Association of Probate Lawyers, a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Elgin, the Boy Scouts of America and was an Eagle Scout. He was also a longtime volunteer Coach with area little leagues, the Kane County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Survivors include his children: Karen June Johnson of Salem, OR and Karl John Johnson of Denver, CO; four grandchildren: Michael (Nicole) Brask, Anne Brask, Kale Johnson and Tara Lee Johnson; a brother: Charles (Marilyn) Johnson of Peoria, IL along with nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: June Carlson Johnson, whom he married on June 14, 1952; and a brother: David Johnson.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers.
