Michael Anthony Knoll, 44, entered into eternity surrounded by his loved ones at home, in the early morning hours of April 1, 2019. For 16 months, he fought the most valiant battle against brain cancer, and was ultimately healed. He is the beloved son of the late James R. Knoll and Marcie J. Knoll-Damiani. The beloved step-son of Richard J. Damiani. Michael is survived by the love of his life- Angela Diedrich, his siblings: Michele Knoll Mieszaniec (Steve Mieszaniec), Christopher Knoll (Alicia Groenendal Knoll), Bradley Knoll, and Brian Knoll (Tammie Langston). His uncle, Anthony R. Holbach- brother of Marcie Knoll-Damiani, of Blackpool England (Lindsay Holbach), his uncle Tom Knoll- brother of James Knoll (Naomi Knoll). His Aunt Patty Knoll Runyon -sister of James Knoll. He was preceded in death by his dad, James R. Knoll. His grandparents, Robert J. Holbach and Isabelle M. Holbach. Robert G. Knoll, and Ruth Knoll. His uncle Timothy M. Holbach – brother of Marcie. Many cousins whom he loved. Mike has countless friends across the country, whom he loved so much and would consider family. With Mike’s engaging personality, and contagious smile, and unstoppable laughter- the minute you walked into his presence – you felt a warmth and love surround you. You couldn’t help but be drawn into conversation and relationship. Mike left Illinois to begin a life in Las Vegas, and worked many years as a bartender at the Venetian Resort. (It was at the Venetian Resort, where he met Angie Diedrich) During his tenure at the Venetian, he decided to become a helicopter pilot. He put himself through schooling in aviation. Mike had a passion for flying helicopters and worked for his dear friends, Bianca and Brian Lorenz, owners of 702 Helicopters in Las Vegas, taking tours over the Las Vegas Strip. Also, in his career, he flew Grand Canyon Tours, and tours over the city of Chicago. He also was a flight instructor. In between flying gigs, he worked at BrewDog USA in Columbus, OH as a master bartender. He loved and was so loved by his BrewDog family. Mike had a passion and zeal for life and the people in it. He was always looking for a new adventure with no fear. Even after his diagnosis, he lived life full - on. As a young man, Mike came to faith in Jesus Christ, and was baptized. In the hours before his passing – he reaffirmed his faith.
“He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces…”
