He was a member of the United Methodist church, and belonged to the American Legion Post 57 of Elgin for over 50 years. John was an avid White Sox fan. He also loved cheering for the Chicago Bears and the University of Illinois’ fighting Illini. John & his wife Jan have been winter residents in The Villages, Florida since Jan retired in 2011. He loved life and lived each day with a happy and positive attitude. His spirit and laughter will be greatly missed. He leaves behind many family members and beloved friends.
