Coralie (Hopkins) Ross passed away on January 4, 2020. Coralie was born on October 17, 1948 in Chicago, IL, to Lloyd E. Hopkins Sr and Coralie (Reemer) Hopkins. Affectionately called Buck or Susie by family and Corky by friends, she is survived by her husband and true love, Jack Ross of Carpentersville, daughter Lynda (Robert) Dunn, beloved grandchildren Olivia and Colton Dunn of Wonder Lake, siblings Lloyd Jr (Elaine) of Carpentersville, Mary Shebeck of West Plaines MO, Grant of West Plaines MO, Bryan (Barb) of Gratiot WI, Darrell (Deejay) of Trenton, MO, many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her beloved Boston Terrier, Mini. Coralie grew up in Carpentersville and graduated from Barrington High School in 1966. Although she could have made arguing into in Olympic Sport, Coralie spent most of her life trying to make sure others enjoyed theirs without worrying about her own enjoyment. She could debate with the best and would do anything for anyone. Coralie met and fell in love with Jack at just 15 years old. They enjoyed many great adventures together. From hunting birds and fishing to just eating out. Known simply as "Ma" to many of Lynda's friends, she was always there if they needed anything. One of her biggest joy's was being Grammy. She loved doing anything and everything with and for Olivia and Colton and absolutely adored them. She became Grammy to all their friends as well. Some lifelong and others newer, she had some very special friends that became family. Coralie found fun in "running amok" with her friends and family! Loving animals as she did, she treasured many types of pets through the years. A duck, a horse, dogs, cats, turtles, mice, rats, bunnies, snakes, guinea pigs, fish, birds, and more- no animal was too big or too small for her! Mini, her most recent Boston Terrier, brought her great happiness and comfort these last years. Coralie struggled with many complex health issues throughout her lifetime. For those close to her, knowing her battles have ended and she finally has peace helps ease the transition of losing someone so special. She was preceded in death by her parents.
