Gregory “Luke” Allison, 52, of Elgin, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Amita St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born on September 7, 1967 in Chicago the son of James & Beverly Allison. He was a loving father of Gregory & Samantha Allison. Luke led an active life from a young age. Growing up he was an avid fisherman and baseball player. He was active in scouts and played football in high school. His love of the outdoors led him to a career in the building trade industry, where he eventually found a great affinity for painting. Always ready with an encouraging word and smile Luke was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him. Luke was a good man and always gave from his heart. He was a great brother and uncle, a trusted friend, and a loving father.

He is survived by his son Gregory Luke Allison II, his daughter Samantha “Sami” Elizabeth Allison, three brothers: Brett (Brenda) Allison, Lance (Candi) Allison, Todd (Stephanie) Allison, nieces: Suzanne Allison, Jessica Allison, nephews: James Allison (Lindsey), Tim Allison (Lindsey), Chance Allison and many Uncles, Aunts, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by James Henry Allison II (Father), Beverly Dawn Allison (Mother), Mark Steven Allison (Brother), Joshua Johnson (Nephew), Chantelle Johnson (Niece).

Graveside services will be at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin on July 11th at 11 am. A memorial service & luncheon will be at 12 pm at the Church of God of Prophecy in St. Charles. All are welcome to both services and luncheon. The luncheon is being provided by Helping Hands & Caring Hearts.
