 Larry Curtis Lundsberg, 76, of Elgin, passed away on December 21, 2020 in his home, surrounded by family. He was born on March 21, 1944 in Chicago, IL the son of Thomas and Betty (Morris) Lundsberg. Larry was a Veteran, and served in the US Air force during the Vietnam War. Larry served as a Police Officer for the City of Elgin, retiring with the rank of Sergeant after 30 years. He loved his family, his Job and his country. Larry will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife: Reta, whom he married on November 18, 1978; 3 children: Jodi (Kevin Bennett) Richlen-DuBois of Burlington, IL, Larene (John) Lundsberg Theriault of Peoria, AZ, Crista (Scott) Lundsberg Syrek of Elgin, IL; his daughter-in-law: Linda Richlen; 15 grandchildren: Shane, Abby, Emma, Maggie, Jack, Lucas, Trevor, Rilee, Chloe, Mikey, Gabe, Autumn, Jon, Jason and James; Siblings: Lynene, Lorelle (Ed), Tom, Leanne (Kent), Leslee (David); along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Thomas Richlen; his grandson: Nicholas Mapes-Lundsberg; and son-in-law: Derek Blaha

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with the funeral service Monday, at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial with Honors will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. 847-741-8800 or www.lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com
