Javier Ravadan, 70, of Elgin, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 after a 4 month battle with silent aspiration, at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. He was born on December 3, 1950 in Mexico the son of Teodolo Ravadan and Julila Rodriguez.
Javier arrived in Elgin in June 1977 from Mexico with his wife, Eufrosina Ravadan and oldest child, daughter, Julia to provide a better life for his family. He had 5 more children all born in Elgin. He is survived by his wife, Eufrosina Ravadan (Olascoaga), his 6 children, Javier Jr. Ravadan (Marianela), Julia Aguilar (Homero), Rocio Ravadan (Marco), Teodolo Ravadan (Alva), Carlos Ravadan and Osiel Ravadan. 8 Grandchildren, Emily Aguilar, Luis Angel Aguilar, Tirso Reynoso Jr., Natalia Reynoso, Ronaldo Reynoso, Neymar Reynoso, Santiago Javier Ravadan and Noel Teo Ravadan. He is also survived by a sister, Juana Rabadan and many cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. Javier was a loving, funny person. He always made people laugh. He loved playing with his grandkids, taking them on walks and to play at the park. He loved going for coffee with his friends and talking to all of his neighbors.
He will be missed and always in his family's hearts.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM and on Friday morning from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM in the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin 847-742-2100 or www.lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com.
