Jeremy Michael Bryant passed away at the age of 45 on January 3, 2021. He was born in Lake Forest, IL to James W. Bryant and Ann Meiller (Ortiz).
Jeremy leaves behind his mother Ann Ortiz (Luis) who loves him more than words can express. Father James Bryant (Karen), brothers Steven (Kristina) and Joshua Bryant. Sisters Jacilyn and Olivia Ortiz, Step-brothers Tony Latham (Angie) and Adam Bryant (Cassandra), nephews Elijah, Lucas, Leo, Juan Carlos Jr., and nieces Pearl, Catalina, Allyson, Audrey and Abbigail, aunt Ellen (Jerry) Meiller and Uncle Matthew (Mary Jane) Meiller.
Jeremy was known for his enormous heart and listening ear. He was a kind, loyal and loving man with a great personality and a smile no one would forget. He loved his family and friends deeply and was always there when someone needed him. He was a wonderful son and brother who will be missed more than there are words to explain.
Jeremy was a lover of all things Viking. He was known to some as “Big Swede”, which made him smile. He was very mechanically gifted. There was not an electronic device or vehicle that he did not enjoy fixing. He loved tinkering with his vintage stereo and receiver systems, playing video games and watching wrestling with his friend Dennis.
Over his lifetime he developed a great love of music. He enjoyed listening to all types of music, but his favorite genre was Punk rock. He counted the members of ‘The Usuals’ band as close friends and brothers. He loved being with them every week during band practice and was proud to fill in as backup when asked.
Jeremy’s early life was not easy but with the help of his best friend Edward John, he found freedom working on the farm. Some of the best years of his life were spent with Edward John and fixing up their Super Bee. Once returning home to his family in Elgin, Jeremy found the peace that had alluded him for years.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Richard Johnson (Mildred) Marlene and Willard Meiller, uncle Michael Meiller and honorary aunt, Louanne Schultan.
