Lea Haseman

Lea Haseman passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on June 12, 1921 in Italy, daughter of Giuseppe and Maria Bove. She and her loving husband Leonard, raised three sons.
Lea lived in Elgin, Illinois prior to moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1986. She was a charter member of St. Thomas More Church, sang in the choir, was active in the Women’s Group and served as lunch mother for St. Thomas More grade school. She was a former member of the Elgin and Phoenix Lioness Clubs. She enjoyed her profession as a Beautician and assisted her husband at Baker-Haseman Insurance Agency.
Lea's legacy continues with her son Robert Haseman, daughter-in-laws Diana Haseman and Karen Haseman. Her grandchildren Renee Castillo (Guadalupe), Christina Councilor (Thomas), Ralph Haseman Jr, Scott Haseman (Kimberley), Antoinette Kumorek (Donald), Rachel Twietmeyer (Michael), Katherine Haseman (Anthony) and Jacob Haseman (Katie). She is blessed with great-grandchildren; Gabriel (Francine), Nicki, Brian, Austin, Katelynn, Matthew, Caitlin, Michael (Julia), Ethan, Noah, Anthony Jr, Destiny, and great-great grandchildren Lil Gabe, Adalynn and Carter.
Lea lives on in the hearts of her niece and goddaughter Janine Tanner (Richard), niece Belinda Mockler, nephew Paul J. Mockler (Shirley). Her brother Italo Bove, niece Maria Valadka (John), and nephew Joseph Bove (Michael). Great nieces and nephews Michael (Alexis), Mark, Katherine, Andrew, Grace and great-great nephew Lincoln, along with many other fond friends and family, she has met along her path of life, from Italy to the United States of America.
She is preceeded in death by her devoted husband Leonard A. Haseman, two sons Ralph Haseman Sr and Leonard P. Haseman, parents Giusseppe and Maria Bove, infant sister Maria Bove, beloved sister and best-friend Ida Mockler, brother-in-law Paul C. Mockler, infant niece Deborah Lea Mockler and sister-in-law Irene Bove.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will follow at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
